The Circle of Hellenic Academics in Boston and the Hellenic Bioscientific Association of USA (HBA-USA) are pleased to invite you to our joined event, Academic Kafeneion. This event is a great opportunity to bring together members of those Hellenic associations that share a common mission: promote networking within scientists and academics of Hellenic descent.
Academic Kafeneion is an initiative that was introduced by The Circle of Hellenic Academics of Boston as a series of networking evenings among faculty, postdoctoral fellows and medical researchers of Hellenic descent or working in fields related to Hellenic culture and heritage, in the greater Boston area.
The goal of the Academic Kafeneion is to create an environment where faculty members, post-doctoral researchers and medical researchers, can meet and discuss about their research, work prospects or any other topic of common interest, over light snacks and refreshements.
The goals of the Kafeneion is to help Greek academics to:
- Meet other members or prospective members of the Circle and/or HBA-USA
- Meet and network with other academics in related research fields
- Meet others who have transitioned from post-doc to academic position
- Meet others who work in biomedical research but not only in academia
- Learn about research and job opportunities in the greater Boston Area
