The Bodossaki Foundation has announced the Distinguished Young Scientist Awards 2027, one of the most prestigious recognitions for young scientists of Greek descent. Established in 1993, the awards honor outstanding young researchers whose scientific achievements, innovation, and contributions advance knowledge and serve as an inspiration for future generations.
For 2027, four awards will be presented, each accompanied by a €20,000 monetary prize, in the following scientific fields:
- Basic Sciences: Mathematics
- Life Sciences: Biomedical Sciences
- Applied Sciences / Technologies: Intelligent Robotics and Autonomous Systems
- Social Sciences: Economics or Political Sciences
Eligible candidates must be of Greek nationality, parentage, or descent and have demonstrated exceptional scientific achievement and international recognition in their respective fields. The awards recognize not only research excellence but also the broader impact of a scientist’s work on the advancement of science and society.
Nominations are submitted exclusively by third-party nominators and must be supported by two recommendation letters from established scientists or academic leaders familiar with the candidate’s work. Self-nominations are not accepted.
HBA-USA encourages eligible members of the Greek scientific community and their colleagues, mentors, and institutional leaders to consider submitting nominations for this distinguished honor.
