Get Involved

The Hellenic Bioscientific Association of America has as mission the exchange of knowledge between USA and Greece, through the interscientific collaborations. This is facilitated with the annual professor exchange program (STEP) that sends professors of Greek heritage back to Greece to speak to students at Greek Universities regarding their research, and have one-on-one meeting with researchers and graduate students to discuss, guide and assist with their research. Becoming a member gives you a a unique opportunity to participate and become part of this vision. It will also help you develop a network of people relevant to your research that spans across two continents and two countries.

Βecoming part of our great vision, you get access a large list of members all across USA (at least one in each state) that are committed to respond and help you. In addition you get access to exclusive content and unique opportunities to participate to our events. Each year we have a series of lectures from prominent researchers in the field of biomedical science where you can access directly through our websites. Also you will get unique opportunities to join us in our events. We have a plethora of events from lectures, networking sessions, one-on-one discussions with special guests and many more events that will allow you to learn, network, grow and advance your research.

You can also polish and develop your leadership skills via actively participating to event organization, social media outreach, fundraising, members relationship management and other activities that can enhance your communication skills.

Joining the association will cost an one-time payment of $50 via our secure payment system. Then each following year you will contribute a minimum of $15 (or more if you want) to maintain your membership and the access to the exclusive content we offer. If you choose not to renew your membership, you will maintain your access to your website and the members list but you will not be eligible to the exclusive content.

Not all events are open. Lectures, seminars and conferences are open, but networking events and one-on-one lunches are exclusively for the members maintaining their membership. But more importantly renewing your membership will  help us to continue our programs and further our reach to Greece.

Offcourse! We actually encourage our members to get involved in every aspect of our association. You can help us organize events, maintain our website, publicize our events, grow our members, and many other activities. We are self sustained and maintained by the passion of our members.
