The Patsopoulos Laboratory at the Ann Romney Center of Neurological Diseases (ARCND) in Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School is seeking highly motivated computational and wet lab postdoctoral fellows to be part of a leading team that aims to unravel the mechanisms of neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases.
The Patsopoulos Lab is leading large-scale efforts to decypher the genetic component of neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases, and specializes in integrating extensive heterogeneous data to inform personalized decision-making. The group uses in-house and publically available data for the unbiased identification of key genes and pathways; it also designs avant-garde experimental procedures to create cell-specific and patient-specific response networks. The group collaborates closely with leading teams in ARCND, the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. The wet lab post-doctoral fellow position is going to be co-mentored with Dr. Howard Weiner, MD, the co-Director of the ARCND.
The candidates should have demonstrated excellent scientific productivity, evidenced by high-quality research publications, and be able to conduct independent creative research, as well as show good inter-personal and communication skills. Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree is required for all positions.
